SEAMEO CED has marked a major milestone with the opening of its 100th Community Learning Centre, located in a rural district of Lao PDR. The centres provide free access to literacy classes, vocational training, and digital resources for out-of-school youth and adults.
Each centre is run in partnership with the local community and staffed by trained facilitators. Together, the network now serves more than 80,000 active learners every year.
The 100th centre features a dedicated early-childhood corner, a small library, and a computer lab funded by regional partners.
